3. Unscrew the old filter by using an oil filter wrench tool and

turning the filter counterclockwise.

filter.

4. Clean the oil filter mounting base.

5. Apply a film of clean oil to the filter gasket. Do not use

grease.

6. Screw the new filter on until the gasket contacts the base,

then tighten the filter another 3/4 to 1 turn.
